Eggert Aquatics Frequently Asked Questions!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How young can my child begin taking swim lessons with Eggert Aquatics?
A: We offer Parent and Child swim lessons beginning as early as six months. Individual learn-to-swim lessons can begin as early as three years old.

Q: What is the oldest age swimmer allowed to take swim lessons with Eggert Aquatics?
A: The limit does not exist! We offer swim lessons for all ages and abilities. For our adult swimmers, we offer private classes or adult group classes!

Q: How long will it take my child to learn to swim on their own?
A: Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed time frame for this. We often see progression after six swim lessons, however, each swimmer is different and learns at a different pace. Not all children are ready to begin swim lessons at the same age, and some may learn faster than others.

Q: How long is each lesson?
A: Typically, each swim lessons is 30-minutes long. If you're looking for a longer lesson, we also offer 60-minute swim lessons. Our lessons are customizable to your needs.

Q: What happens if I miss a swim lesson?
A: There is no penalization if you cancel your swim lesson with at least 48 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, then you will be required to pay the cost of the lesson. Instructors will work with you to reschedule lessons, when possible.

Q: What type of training do the Eggert Aquatics instructors have?
A: All of our Eggert Aquatics instructors are American Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructors and Certified Lifeguards. Many of our instructors also have the Swim Angelfish Adaptive Swim Certification. Learn more about our awesome instructors on the Meet Our Instructors page!

Q: When are lessons offered?
A: Each registration is offered one time per week. It is up to your personal preference if you would like to register for more than one swim lesson per week. Our dedicated instructors will work with you to find the days and times that are best for both parties.

Q: What do I need to bring to each swim lesson?
A: Our instructors will provide the equipment needed during the lesson. All that we ask you to bring is a pair of goggles and a towel for each swimmer. Water is also recommended to stay hydrated!

Q: What are the advantages to private swim lessons through Eggert Aquatics?
A: All of our instructors are certified through the American Red Cross and follow the American Red Cross Learn to Swim curriculum. Private swim lessons allow for customized one-on-one instruction for each swimmer. We see more progress earlier on since the focus is only on one swimmer at a time. Instructors build trust with the swimmer to get them excited to swim!
